Hi, I'm Julia

I'm a storyteller at heart, no matter the medium. Photo, video, writing, design... heck, give me two chopsticks and a string and I'd still find a way to tell a story.

Stories have come in many shapes and sizes for me, from journalism to weddings to marketing to family portraiture.

Stories have brought me all over the country. Before I started working in the world of marketing, I was a staff photographer for the Omaha World-Herald in Nebraska. Before that I was working for the Lansing State Journal in Lansing, Michigan. I've held newspaper internships in Mississippi, Nebraska and Ohio. I've traveled to cover all sorts of sporting events from the Rose Bowl in California to the Elite Eight and Sweet Sixteen in New York City to the NCAA Volleyball Final Four in Kansas City.

My work has been honored by the Michigan Press Photographers Association, the Michigan Associated Press Media Editors, the Michigan Emmys and the Associated Collegiate Press. In 2016, I was awarded Michigan College Photographer of the Year by the Michigan Press Photographers Association for my 2015 body of work.

I am an Eddie Adams alumna, class of XXVII.

Currently based in Kansas City, Missouri, but willing to travel just about anywhere.
